There is no Christmas without The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky’s classic that has been an essential cultural programme for decades. The wonderful adventure of Clara, the Little Girl and the Nutcracker found under the tree is being performed for the first time in Hungary by the outstanding Ukrainian Classical Ballet.
Ukrainian classical ballet is synonymous with excellent performances combining tradition and modernity. New forms of expression that give new visions of classical stories, unique to them, make their works unique worldwide. They have performed more than 800 times in 20 countries around the world, and their 2023 performance of The Nutcracker impressed 50,000 spectators in Europe and for the first time in Hungary. The world-famous story will be brought to life with unique technical and directorial solutions, special visual effects and modern projection at the Budapest Congress Centre before Christmas.
This year’s Advent special is the legendary winter wonderland that has captivated audiences around the world for generations. This new adaptation by the world-famous company promises to be a special treat for the whole family.
The Villány wine region is organising its own regional presentation in the Budapest Congress Centre with the intention of creating a tradition.
